About The Position

HEICO Repair Group Aerostructures is seeking an experienced Shop Manager to oversee daily operations of its aircraft component maintenance shop. The role requires a strong background in aircraft component repair, a deep understanding of FAA and industry compliance standards, and exceptional team leadership skills.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in aircraft component maintenance, including at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong technical background in aircraft component repair, including sheet metal and composite work.
• Familiarity with FAA regulations, Part 145 repair station requirements, and EASA standards.
• Demonstrated leadership ability and effective team management skills.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in maintenance tracking systems and shop management software.

Nice To Haves

• Pentagon shop management software experience preferred.
• Airframe and/or Powerplant license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise daily shop operations, ensuring workflow efficiency and adherence to repair schedules and turnaround time (TAT).
• Coordinate with Quality Assurance, Engineering, and Customer Service to ensure timely delivery and compliance.
• Oversee and support technicians performing sheet metal and/or composite repairs.
• Ensure compliance with FAA regulations, company policies, safety standards, and environmental standards.
• Monitor productivity and quality metrics to identify opportunities for process improvement.
• Train, mentor, and evaluate shop personnel.
• Provide technical input and support on complex repairs.
• Prepare and present operational reports to upper management.
