About The Position

Boeing Canada Operations Ltd. is seeking an Aircraft Avionics Technician to join their team in Petawawa, supporting the CH147F Phase Inspections for the Royal Canadian Air Force. The role involves working with a team of mechanics on aircraft maintenance and repair.

Requirements

4+ years of aircraft maintenance experience required, preferred on CH147F platform.
Must have one of the following: Transport Canada Civil Aviation (TCCA), Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME), Avionics Technician (AME-E) licensed or Military equivalent.
Must be legally able to work in Canada.
Must consent to Canadian Government Controlled Goods Program (CGP) assessment.
Individual must not pose a risk for safeguarding controlled goods.
Must be eligible for Secret Level II security clearance.
Must be eligible to handle US export-controlled data.

Nice To Haves

Post-secondary education
Have successfully completed a formal, CH147F type training course related to their aviation specialty taught by an acceptable training organization
Knowledge of Royal Canadian Air Force Electronic Record Keeping System (ERKS) or Defense Resource Management Information System (DRMIS)
Active Secret Level II Security Clearance

Responsibilities

Assembles, disassembles and/or modifies systems by changing, removing, replacing or upgrading aerospace vehicle components to correct failures or implement changes.
Oversees assembly, disassembly or overhaul.
Configures aerospace vehicles and bench test equipment.
Troubleshoots complex pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical systems to isolate mechanical or electrical faults and repair faulty components.
Performs validation/verification testing of systems and components.
Documents procedures and established processes to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance (e.g., repairs, test results, applicable modifications and inspection results).
Inspects components and verify repairs for flight worthiness requirements.
Oversees training.
Works under general direction.
Ability to perform as part of a cohesive team, working toward a common goal.
