This position is responsible for preventing collisions between aircraft by organizing and expediting the flow of air traffic. The role involves providing for the safe, orderly, and expeditious flow of air traffic, originating and relaying clearances, and coordinating with other air traffic control agencies. The position also includes issuing advisories, contacting emergency services, providing weather updates, and monitoring navigation aids and electronic equipment. Additionally, the role may involve performing the duties of the Controller in Charge (CIC) and participating in supplemental training.
