About The Position
SAIC is seeking experienced, former FAA TRACON Air Traffic Controllers to join their team. The role involves providing Air Traffic Control (ATC), TSEW, TETRA, and RTF training and instructional services for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) at the FAA Regional Training Site in Elgin, IL. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is responsible for ensuring air traffic control specialists provide a high level of safety and professionalism to the flying public. A well-trained ATC workforce is essential for this responsibility, with the FAA employing over 14,000 air traffic controllers who manage over 50,000 aircraft daily in the National Airspace System (NAS). To meet training needs, the FAA utilizes contractor-provided instructional services across the U.S. and its Territories. This includes all training and program support necessary to prepare students to become fully certified air traffic controllers. SAIC must deliver training and support services for all types and levels of ATC facilities.
