Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in environmental science, environmental engineering, environmental health, geology, biology, ecology, or a closely related field
  • Four years of technical experience in environmental science, environmental engineering, environmental health, geology, biology, ecology, or a closely related field
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training
  • Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree.
  • Possession of an active motor vehicle license
  • Meet the PA residency requirement

Responsibilities

  • Assist with on-site reviews of facilities to observe operations and document compliance
  • Help investigate air quality complaints and prepare written summaries of findings
  • Update information in tracking systems and review emission data for accuracy
  • Support sampling efforts by collecting materials and observing stack testing activities
  • Help evaluate notifications and support inspections of demolition and asbestos projects
  • Participate in training, meetings, and field activities to develop knowledge of air quality regulations
