About The Position

Spokane Regional Clean Air Agency is looking for a person with strong interpersonal skills capable of working independently, sometimes in contentious situations. We are seeking qualified applicants to join our inspection team as an Air Quality Specialist I. This position conducts inspections of businesses and asbestos projects, and responds to air pollution complaints. The work setting varies from an office, to industrial and commercial businesses and residences.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Studies, Environmental Science, Environmental Planning, Environmental Policy, Engineering, physical or natural science, or a closely related field; AND, One year of experience in regulatory compliance, inspection, investigation, public or adult education or similar experience
• Five years of experience in regulatory compliance, inspection, investigation, public or adult education or similar experience
• An equivalent combination of college education and/or experience as stated above
• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Studies, Environmental Science, Environmental Planning, Environmental Policy, Engineering, physical or natural science, or a closely related field; AND 1 year of experience in regulatory compliance, inspection, investigation, or similar experience
• Five years of experience in regulatory compliance, inspection, investigation, or similar experience
• An equivalent combination of college education and/or experience as stated above
