About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Air Quality Modeler to join our team and contribute to high-impact projects focused on the development, testing, implementation, and evaluation of air quality models. Conduct air quality model simulations and prepare model evaluation products. Create visualizations and reports to communicate modeling results. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including atmospheric scientists and emissions modeling experts. Stay updated with the latest developments in air quality modeling and tools.

Requirements

MS or PhD in computer science, meteorology, atmospheric science, or other scientific/mathematical field + 3 years of experience
Experience with air quality models, such as the CMAQ modeling system
Data analysis and visualization experience with Python or R
Experience working in a Unix/Linux operating system environment and proficiency with scripting languages
US Citizenship Required

Nice To Haves

Experience with air quality model evaluation and analysis tools
Strong analytical skills and expertise with observational datasets and GIS tools
Experience with the CAMx model
Publications or technical reports in air quality modeling
Familiarity with coupled atmospheric models (e.g., WRF-CMAQ)
