Significance, Inc is seeking an Air Force FIAR Support Specialist. This position is a hybrid role located at Joint Base Andrews, MD and requires an active Secret Clearance. The FIAR Support Specialist will serve as an audit support specialist tasked with tracking status of business process audit remediation activities, monitoring system compliance, and coordinating with Air Force program management offices. The team focuses on advising senior A4 leadership on financial improvement and audit remediation strategy, audit progress monitoring and reporting, and general audit business process compliance. AF/A4 produces AF financial statements to assist financial managers in their decision-making processes by providing relevant and reliable financial information to help the AF meet the requirements of FIAR. A major objective of HAF/A4 is for these financial statements to achieve an unmodified or “clean” audit opinion for each AF financial statement. AF began full financial statement audits in FY 2018. The AF FIAR Support contract will provide Advisory & Assistance Services (A&AS) support IAW Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 37.2 in the areas of Management and Professional Support Services and Studies, Analyses, and Evaluations.

Requirements

  • Active DOD Secret clearance
  • Project management skills, with a demonstrated ability to balance multiple high visibility client deliverables, track project status, and mitigate project risk.
  • Task organization skills to include organizing and prioritizing team tasks based on client deliverables.
  • Exceptional PowerPoint skills to include the ability to bring complex process narratives into clean, concise executive level presentations with visually compelling slide design.
  • Executive presence characterized by an ability to distill complex regulatory concepts into easily digestible requirements for Air Force clients.
  • Sharp attention to detail with a keen eye for reviewing documentation and correspondence for quality, accuracy, and completeness.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience serving as an advisor on aspects of federal audit and compliance within the Department of Defense, preferably the Air Force.
