About The Position

Significance, a woman-owned consulting firm serving the federal government, is seeking an Air Force FIAR Support Specialist. This hybrid role is located at Joint Base Andrews, MD, and requires an active Secret Clearance. The specialist will track business process audit remediation activities, monitor system compliance, and coordinate with Air Force program management offices. The team advises senior A4 leadership on financial improvement and audit remediation strategy, monitors and reports on audit progress, and ensures general audit business process compliance. The Air Force aims to achieve an unmodified or "clean" audit opinion for its financial statements, a process that began in FY 2018. This contract provides Advisory & Assistance Services (A&AS) support in Management and Professional Support Services and Studies, Analyses, and Evaluations.

Requirements

Active DOD Secret clearance
Project management skills, with a demonstrated ability to balance multiple high visibility client deliverables, track project status, and mitigate project risk.
Task organization skills to include organizing and prioritizing team tasks based on client deliverables.
Exceptional PowerPoint skills to include the ability to bring complex process narratives into clean, concise executive level presentations with visually compelling slide design.
Executive presence characterized by an ability to distill complex regulatory concepts into easily digestible requirements for Air Force clients.
Sharp attention to detail with a keen eye for reviewing documentation and correspondence for quality, accuracy, and completeness.

Nice To Haves

Experience serving as an advisor on aspects of federal audit and compliance within the Department of Defense, preferably the Air Force.
