About The Position

Supervising and coaching your Warehouse teams, including weekly team huddles and monthly 1-on-1s with Warehouse Leads. This role involves assisting with annual performance reviews and setting improvement objectives for Warehouse Leads, as well as aiding in the execution of the District Tactical Business Plan. A key focus is ensuring a safe and secure work environment by adhering to Expeditors' warehouse procedures, safety, and compliance standards. The position is also responsible for maintaining a clean and professional facility and ensuring all equipment is in safe operational condition, including managing maintenance contracts. Input for the weekly/monthly/annual warehouse budget, covering staffing, overtime, equipment, and facility repairs, is also required. The role ensures teams are adequately staffed to meet demand, including a flexible workforce, and oversees all aspects of warehouse staffing for both permanent and contingent staff, ensuring operational coverage with appropriately certified personnel. Responsibilities include interviewing, onboarding, developing, and supporting staff, fostering employee versatility through cross-training, and executing processes according to operational standards and KPI expectations. Continuous improvement methods are used to enhance safety, quality, delivery, and cost reduction. The role participates in transitioning and onboarding new customers, manages and resolves inventory issues, over/short/damage discrepancies, process exceptions, and performs process audits for security and safety. Workloads are allocated to ensure smooth operations during peak times or staff absences, and proactive communication ensures team awareness of policies and regulations. Compliance with Expeditors Operational Process Standards is overseen, and the role requires working and/or covering night shifts as needed to meet business demands.
