About The Position

The Air Export Night Agent will serve in an operations capacity, responsible for processing export shipments including accompanying export documentation. This role involves managing freight receipt, processing and monitoring shipments, and ensuring timely communication with customers regarding shipment progress. The position requires developing professional relationships with customers, training peers, and handling miscellaneous accounting items. Compliance with Expeditors and government regulations and policies, as well as maintaining company culture and teamwork, are essential. The role also emphasizes exceptional customer service, job execution, reliability, collaboration, communication, and personal growth and development through training.

Requirements

  • Effective interpersonal skills - including the ability to listen, comprehend and to communicate clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing.
  • Global logistics industry knowledge
  • Good computer skills (e.g., MS Excel, MS Word)
  • Fluent in English
  • Must display a willingness to work in a team environment
  • Must comply with Expeditors and Govt regulations/policies
  • Must maintain and preserve company culture

Responsibilities

  • Receive documents
  • Prepare shipments
  • Route shipments
  • Manage freight receipt
  • Process shipments
  • Monitor/Track shipments
  • Manage your desk to customer and company KPI’s
  • Timely reply to all emails
  • Complete 52 hrs of training credit per year
  • Timely problem solving/resolution
  • Any functions deemed necessary by supervisor or manager
  • Develop friendly and professional relationships with customers
  • Training peers as needed
  • Action miscellaneous accounting items that pertain to assigned accounts
  • Send shipment alerts to all customers and keep them updated on the progress of their shipments
  • Must comply with Expeditors and Govt regulations/policies
  • Must maintain and preserve company culture
  • Must display a willingness to work in a team environment
  • Ensures smooth and timely freight process flow according to Expeditors' operational procedures.
  • Follows customer's standard operating procedures and proactively notifies customers of any issues.
  • Consistently meets KPI standards, as per company's procedures.
  • Ensures accurate and timely data entry into our operational systems according to Expeditors' operational procedures and customer requirements.
  • Monitors exception reports for quick data integrity resolution.
  • Invoices customers the expected charges timely and accurately and according to Expeditors and customer requirements.
  • Properly provisions service provider charges to avoid reserves.
  • Follows proper credit approval processes in order to minimize risk and protect the company.
