About The Position

Worldwide Flight Services (WFS) is hiring an Air Cargo Warehouse Agent to support the timely and safe movement of cargo shipments. The role involves handling freight and company material in designated warehouse areas, including cargo loading and unloading, receiving and delivering shipments, and completing related forms and messages. The agent may also perform routine cleaning of work areas, ramps, and facilities, with or without powered equipment, and may assist with facility security monitoring. Employees must follow WFS site security procedures and report security breaches, suspicious activity, or non-compliance with the site security plan. This position is covered by a Transport Workers Union (TWU) collective bargaining agreement, which requires joining the union and paying union dues. Requirements

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

Move air cargo within the designated warehouse.
Load and unload cargo from pallets and containers.
Build up cargo for outbound flights.
Break down cargo from import flights.
Load and unload cargo to and from semitrucks.
May operate basic cargo handling equipment, such as forklifts, aircraft pallets, and pallet jacks.
Check freight for proper piece count, weight, dimensions, and documentation when accepting or delivering cargo.
Confirm Dangerous Goods (DG) shipments have been checked within aircraft limits and follow specified procedures when receiving DG shipments, including shipments abandoned by the consignee.
Complete forms and messages required for assigned functions.
May perform routine cleaning of work areas, ramps, and facilities, with or without powered equipment.
May assist in monitoring facility security; follow site security procedures and report security breaches, suspicious occurrences, or non-compliance with the site security plan.
Understand and react to verbal commands and safety warnings, with or without assistance of sight or visual aids.
