About The Position

The Air Cargo Warehouse Agent handles cargo and company materials throughout designated warehouse and airport operations. Duties include loading and unloading cargo on and off aircraft, transporting cargo between terminals and aircraft, performing ramp transfers when needed, and receiving, delivering, and physically handling freight and company materials. The role may also include routine cleaning of work areas, ramps, and facilities, as well as monitoring facility security. The agent must follow WFS site security procedures and report security breaches, suspicious occurrences, or non-compliance with the site security plan.

Requirements

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

Move air cargo within the designated warehouse.
Load and unload cargo from pallets and containers.
Build up cargo for outbound flights and break down cargo from import flights.
Facilitate loading and unloading cargo to and from semitrucks.
May operate basic cargo-handling equipment such as forklifts, aircraft pallets, and pallet jacks.
Check freight for piece count, weight, dimensions, and documents when accepting or delivering cargo, as appropriate.
May transport cargo to and from aircraft using a 3,000 lb. vehicle and read off-load sheets to determine cargo destinations.
Use appropriate ground-to-cockpit communication, including hand signals and voice commands, during aircraft push-out and/or towing functions.
Understand and react to verbal commands and safety warnings, with or without assistance from sight or visual aids.
Complete forms and messages necessary for assigned functions.
May clean work areas, ramps, and facilities, with or without powered equipment.
May assist in monitoring facility security, comply with site security procedures, and report security breaches, suspicious occurrences, or non-compliance.
