This position works within Mecklenburg County’s air quality division and performs education and outreach on behalf of the North Carolina Division of Air Quality. The Air Awareness Coordinator must be able to communicate complicated scientific information in a straightforward, easy-to-understand way. The Air Awareness Coordinator works at community events, which regularly requires early-morning, evening, or weekend work. The ideal candidate has strong time management and organizational skills and has experience building successful partnerships. This is a grant-funded position, and its continuation is subject to grant renewal.
