About The Position

The Physical Therapy Aide assists physical therapy staff with routine operational tasks. The aide helps prepare treatment equipment and rooms, assists patients with limited mobility in reaching treatment areas, and performs administrative duties. The role also involves preparing patients for treatment, setting up equipment, changing linens, cleaning therapy rooms and equipment, providing patients with information about treatments and evaluations, monitoring supplies, and maintaining safety and sanitation standards.

Requirements

• High school education or equivalent.
• Current CPR certification.
• Detail-oriented.
• Customer/client orientation.
• Ability to understand and follow directions.
• Interpersonal skills.
• Varied physical activities including sitting, walking, squatting, stooping, lifting, bending, and reaching.
• Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and lift 100 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a healthcare environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for treatment and set up equipment.
• Change linens and clean therapy rooms and equipment.
• Assist patients with limited mobility in reaching treatment areas.
• Provide patients with information regarding treatments and evaluations.
• Monitor and maintain inventory of physical therapy supplies.
• Ensure treatment rooms and open gym space meet safety and sanitation requirements.
• Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Perform administrative duties.
