Aide
About The Position
The Physical Therapy Aide assists physical therapy staff with routine operational tasks. The role helps prepare treatment equipment and rooms, assists patients with limited mobility in reaching treatment areas, and performs administrative duties. The aide prepares patients for treatment, sets up equipment, changes linens, and cleans therapy rooms and equipment. The role also provides patients with information about treatments and evaluations, monitors and maintains supplies, and ensures treatment rooms and open gym areas meet safety and sanitation requirements. The position helps maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations. Other duties may be assigned.
Requirements
- High school education or equivalent.
- Current CPR certification.
- Detail-oriented.
- Customer/client orientation.
- Ability to understand and follow directions.
- Interpersonal skills.
- Ability to perform varied activities including sitting, walking, squatting, stooping, lifting, bending, and reaching.
- Must be able to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and lift 100 pounds.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in a healthcare environment preferred.
Responsibilities

- Perform administrative duties and other duties as assigned.
