About The Position

Sacred Heart School is seeking a caring, dependable, and enthusiastic Pre-K Aide to support the lead teacher in providing a safe, nurturing, and faith-filled learning environment for our youngest students. The Pre-K Aide assists with daily classroom activities, promotes positive social and emotional development, and helps create a classroom where children can grow academically, spiritually, and emotionally.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with teachers, staff, students, and families.
Patient, dependable, flexible, and nurturing with strong communication and organizational skills.

Nice To Haves

associate degree or coursework in early childhood education preferred.
Previous experience working with preschool or young children in a school, daycare, church, or similar setting preferred.
Practicing Catholic preferred; candidates of other faiths are welcome and must be respectful of and supportive of the Catholic mission and values of Sacred Heart School.

Responsibilities

Assist the lead teacher with implementing daily lessons and classroom activities.
Supervise students during classroom instruction, recess, lunch, and other school activities.
Foster a warm, welcoming, and positive classroom environment that supports student learning and development.
Encourage appropriate behavior through positive guidance and reinforcement.
Assist students with daily routines, including arrival, dismissal, restroom breaks, handwashing, and snack time.
Prepare classroom materials and maintain an organized, clean, and engaging learning environment.
Support students with individual and small-group learning activities.
Monitor student safety at all times and follow all school policies and procedures.
Communicate professionally with teachers, staff, and families as directed.
Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development as requested.
Uphold and support the mission and Catholic values of Sacred Heart School.
