About The Position

Transports patients to and from the Medical Imaging and Cardiology Departments. Develops and/or copies films, as needed. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum CPR – American Heart Association
• Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
• Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate
• Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate

• Prior hospital experience

Responsibilities

• Transports patients in a safe, efficient, and timely manner; exhibits concern for the patient's privacy, well-being, and comfort during transportation.
• Acts as an advocate for promoting patient safety in all activities including ensuring that every patient is properly identified and has an armband with the correct name before transportation.
• Maintains equipment and supplies for efficient operations, e.g., ensures that transport equipment is available when needed and that oxygen tanks are checked, replaced, and in good working order.
• Processes and handles films in the darkroom using proper technique and in accordance with procedures.
