About The Position

This role is responsible for transporting patients to and from the Medical Imaging and Cardiology Departments. The position also involves developing and/or copying films as needed, and performing other assigned duties. The job adheres to ethical and legal standards and requires compliance with HIPAA and company policies regarding privacy and data security. Responsibilities

• Transports patients in a safe, efficient, and timely manner; exhibits concern for the patient's privacy, well-being, and comfort during transportation.
• Acts as an advocate for promoting patient safety in all activities including ensuring that every patient is properly identified and has an armband with the correct name before transportation.
• Maintains equipment and supplies for efficient operations, e.g., ensures that transport equipment is available when needed and that oxygen tanks are checked, replaced, and in good working order.
• Processes and handles films in the darkroom using proper technique and in accordance with procedures.
