About The Position

The AI / Web Developer designs, develops, integrates, and supports secure AI-powered and web-based applications for Furnitureland South. The role uses Python, large language models, APIs, enterprise data, and modern web technologies to improve business processes, employee productivity, customer experience, and access to information.

The position develops and supports AI applications, web applications, APIs, integrations, and automation solutions, including solutions using large language models, retrieval-augmented generation, vector search, tool and function calling, and agentic workflows. It integrates applications with enterprise systems, databases, and approved third-party services, and applies secure development practices for authentication, access control, data privacy, prompt-injection protection, testing, and deployment.

The developer follows established practices for source control, documentation, monitoring, and application support. In partnership with business stakeholders and IT team members, the role translates requirements into reliable, maintainable solutions, evaluates emerging technologies, and transitions successful prototypes into production applications. The job operates in a hybrid environment and involves occasional travel to various work sites.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field; an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
• Experience developing production applications using Python.
• Experience with API integration, Git version control, PostgreSQL, and SQL.
• Experience developing applications using OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Anthropic, or an equivalent large language model platform.
• Experience with LLM application development, tool and function calling, agentic workflows, vector databases, embeddings, and retrieval-augmented generation.
• Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Next.js, React, and TypeScript.
• Experience with AWS or Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft Graph, and Docker.
• Knowledge of AI security, data privacy, and secure handling of sensitive information.
• Experience with model fine-tuning, CI/CD, automated testing, or production AI application support.
