AI UX/UI Engineer

CapgeminiLos Angeles, CA
Hybrid

About The Position

This is a hybrid design/engineering role delivered as part of Capgemini's engagement. The role involves owning the design and implementation of the Wireframe Vibecoding Track, a capability that transforms design intent into interactive wireframes and vibecoded UX components. These components are deployed directly into the client's Box & Tree MFE shell and feed into the SAFe decomposition pipeline for Story/Gherkin generation. Wireframes in this context are intermediate artifacts for code generation, not final visual deliverables, requiring the individual to be proficient in both design and engineering aspects.

Requirements

  • Strong React and modern frontend skills; able to ship components, not just specs.
  • Hands-on experience with AI-assisted design and code-gen tooling (e.g., Claude Code, Claude Design, Figma Make, Stitch, v0, or equivalent) with a clear understanding of their limitations.
  • Experience with Storybook, component-driven development, and MFE/micro-frontend integration.
  • Deep understanding of accessibility (WCAG 2.1 AA) and the ability to encode it as agent constraints.
  • Comfort working in a governed environment with review paths such as TGB/ARB/AI Council.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior work turning design systems into agent context.
  • Insurance or regulated-industry experience.
  • 8+ years of experience across UX engineering, design systems, and frontend development, with production ownership of an enterprise-scale design system.
  • Accessibility depth (WCAG 2.1 AA) and the ability to encode it as agent constraints rather than manual review.

Responsibilities

  • Design and build the wireframe generation and vibecoding workflow end to end, from intent capture through component output into the UI shell.
  • Curate the client's enterprise design system into a machine-consumable form that the agent can encode and enforce, including components, tokens, interaction patterns, and accessibility rules.
  • Establish Storybook as the canonical artifact and visual review surface.
  • Define the human-in-the-loop review model, specifying what UX approves, at what fidelity, and with what confidence signals.
  • Partner with the client's UX team as both stakeholders and end users.
  • Partner with delivery partners on scope alignment within SOW as applicable.

  • Competitive salary and performance-based bonuses
  • Comprehensive benefits package
  • Career development and training opportunities

  • Dynamic and inclusive work culture within a globally known group
  • Private Health Insurance
