About The Position
Tenex is seeking five sharp, curious interns to spend the summer at the intersection of AI and talent. This internship offers hands-on exposure to modern AI tools and their application in identifying exceptional people. Interns will own a genuine sourcing mandate, experiment with unconventional methods to reach candidates, and work in a fast-moving, high-ownership environment alongside individuals excited about building the future of AI-powered work. The role is suitable for standout students who have demonstrated initiative by building or leading something real.
Requirements
- A current college student with a strong academic record
- Resourceful and self-directed, someone who enjoys figuring things out and trying things others haven't
- A clear writer and strong communicator
- Someone who has built or led something you're proud of, whether that's research, a startup-ish project, a hackathon, a club, or a team
- Comfortable being scrappy with new tools
- No prior recruiting experience required
- Available in-person for the full internship period
Responsibilities
- Learn to use AI tools (LLMs, agents, automation) to research, identify, and evaluate candidates at scale
- Build and test creative, non-obvious sourcing strategies that go beyond the usual LinkedIn search
- Mine unconventional channels (communities, open-source projects, niche forums, events) to surface hidden talent
- Draft compelling, personalized outreach and track what actually gets responses
- Maintain a clean candidate pipeline and share what's working with the team
- Present your findings and recommendations at the end of the summer
