About The Position

Booz Allen is seeking a senior AI software engineer to create artificial intelligence and machine learning solutions that help solve national security challenges. The role develops and implements complete end-to-end solutions to modernize client systems, taking into account the broader ecosystem, operating environment, and future functionality and enhancements. The position also offers opportunities to deepen expertise in AI and cloud.

Requirements

• Experience with advanced software engineering in multiple modern programming languages.
• Experience with integrated development environments (IDEs), developer tools, or build and test systems.
• Experience with AI- or LLM-powered developer tools, including chat-based interfaces or automated coding agents.
• Experience prototyping, evaluating, and refining experimental tooling.
• Knowledge of software development workflows and best practices.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph is required.
• Bachelor's degree and 12 or more years of software engineering experience, or 16 or more years of software engineering experience in lieu of a degree.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with automated code review or static analysis tools.
• Experience working on developer platforms or internal engineering enablement teams.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Experience developing VS Code extensions, such as with TypeScript or Electron.
• Knowledge of agentic AI frameworks or orchestration systems.
