About The Position

The AI Security / DevSecOps Engineer will secure AI-powered coding tools and development environments. The role involves configuring security controls for Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, and OpenAI Codex; protecting containers, Azure DevOps repositories, and CI/CD pipelines; and testing and documenting security procedures. The engineer will also provide knowledge transfer and technical documentation to County staff. This is a contract role based in Pontiac, Michigan, with a hybrid work arrangement.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with Docker and container security.
• Experience with Azure DevOps repositories and pipelines.
• Linux administration and scripting.
• Knowledge of Git, JSON, and YAML.
• Familiarity with Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Codex, MCPs, and AI development tools.

Nice To Haves

• Experience implementing security controls for AI coding tools is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Configure security controls for Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, and OpenAI Codex.
• Manage permissions, command execution restrictions, network access, and credential protection.
• Secure Docker containers, Azure DevOps repositories, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Work with Linux, Git, JSON, and YAML configurations.

• Provide knowledge transfer and technical documentation to County staff.
