About The Position

The Bosch Research and Technology Center North America (RTC-NA), with offices in Sunnyvale, California, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and Cambridge, Massachusetts, is part of the global Bosch Group, which has over 70-billion-euro revenue and 400,000 employees worldwide. RTC-NA is dedicated to providing technologies and system solutions for various Bosch business fields, primarily in artificial intelligence, energy technologies, internet technologies, circuit design, semiconductors and wireless, and advanced MEMS design. The AI research in Silicon Valley specifically focuses on Foundation Models, Big Data Visual Analytics, Explainable AI (XAI), Natural Language Processing, 3D Perception & Mixed Reality, Cloud Robotics, Data Science, AI Platform, and Time-series Analysis. The goal is to develop scalable, intelligent, and trustworthy AIoT solutions for Bosch products and services in areas such as automated driving, advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), robotics, smart manufacturing, enterprise AI, health care, smart home, and building solutions. This internship involves collaborating with mentors and colleagues on AI R&D to address academic and industrial challenges for Bosch applications like ADAS and AI agents, applying research results to real-world applications with high-quality implementation, integrating systems/software into existing Bosch platforms, and summarizing findings in papers and/or patent submissions.

Requirements

  • M.S. student in Computer Science or related fields
  • Solid python and/or C++ programming skills
  • Good communication and team-working skills
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with mentors and other colleagues to conduct AI R&D to address academic and industrial challenges for Bosch applications such as ADAS, AI agents, etc.
  • Apply research results to real-world applications with high quality implementation.
  • Integrate the resulting system/software into existing Bosch platform.
  • Summarize research findings in high-quality paper and/or patent submissions.
