About The Position

Sentinel is seeking a curious and driven AI Product Owner Intern to join their fast-growing SAAS company. This internship offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of product, research, and emerging AI tooling. The intern will research new AI capabilities, translate findings into actionable recommendations, contribute to reporting and data visualization, help address platform bugs, and explore new features using modern AI-powered development tools. Sentinel emphasizes a plan-review-before-execution protocol and provides a supportive environment with real ownership, unlimited growth, and direct access to leadership. This role is ideal for students or recent graduates eager to gain hands-on product experience in a dynamic, innovative setting.

Requirements

  • Student or recent graduate in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, typically in your 1st to 3rd year
  • Comfortable using AI-powered tools like Lovable, Cursor, or Claude Code, or are excited to learn them
  • An eye for design and a genuine passion for building great products
  • Genuinely fascinated by what's happening in AI right now and want to spend real time figuring out where it's going
  • Ability to take an unfamiliar topic, research it, and explain it clearly to others
  • Strong initiative: you don't wait for someone to tell you what needs to be done
  • Comfortable operating inside a structured process (plan, review, then execute)

Nice To Haves

  • Know how to code (a plus, but not required, as product instinct, curiosity, and ability to learn matter more)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with Supabase / React / TypeScript stack

Responsibilities

  • Owning small research projects on emerging AI capabilities (Skills, Connectors, MCPs, Agents, and whatever lands next) and presenting your findings as verbal walkthroughs, with follow-ups as we dig in
  • Translating that research into concrete recommendations: what is this, how does it relate to Sentinel, and what should we do about it
  • Contributing to reporting and data visualization work, helping define what dashboards should look like, how they should feel, and iterating on them with the team
  • Helping us address bugs across the platform, from reproduction and investigation through to proposing fixes within our plan-review-before-execution protocol
  • Exploring and prototyping new features using modern AI-powered development tools (Lovable, Cursor, Claude Code), always with a data-first mindset
  • Learning and operating within our development methodology: investigate first, plan before prompting, surgical edits only, move fast, and bring that rigor to everything you touch

Benefits

  • Competitive internship compensation based on experience and location
  • Paid national holidays
  • Direct mentorship from senior leadership and hands-on product experience
  • Opportunity to grow into a full-time role as Sentinel scales
