AI Product Owner- Generative AI & Agents

GraybarClayton, MO
Hybrid

About The Position

Graybar is seeking an AI Product Owner to lead the product vision, backlog, and delivery of its generative-AI agent portfolio. This includes custom agents designed to automate manual tasks within order-to-cash (O2C) and procure-to-pay (P2P) processes, as well as enterprise-wide programs for deploying Microsoft Copilot and Copilot Studio. The role acts as a liaison between process owners, internal engineering teams, Microsoft AI partners, citizen developers, and Copilot power users. The primary goal is to ensure the development of high-value agents, safe deployment of citizen-developer agents, and widespread adoption of generative AI for productivity gains across Graybar's workforce. The role is structured around three key areas: Custom Agents (50%), Makers Community of Practice (25%), and Power Users Community of Practice (25%).

  • Lead discovery sessions with process owners and frontline users to map workflows, quantify manual effort, and identify high-value agent opportunities.
  • Lead Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint reviews) with the delivery team and accept completed work.
  • Define acceptance criteria for AI features, considering model accuracy, confidence thresholds, and human-in-the-loop workflows.
  • Design and optimize human-in-the-loop workflows to ensure user trust and streamline agent outputs.
  • Manage the Microsoft partnership for custom agents, coordinating on capabilities, roadmap, and build-vs-buy decisions.
