About The Position

The Product Ops team serves as the operational backbone of Adaptive's product organization, ensuring the business runs smoothly by managing content creation, providing product development support for engineering, product, and design (EPD) teams, and handling account provisioning across all products. Currently, these tasks are largely manual, and the goal is to transform this through automation and AI. This role involves learning the core functions of Product Ops, then identifying and implementing AI-driven solutions to automate, streamline, and revolutionize these workflows. The Product Ops team is also evolving into a strategic function within the product organization, collaborating with PMs, designers, and engineers on evaluating new opportunities, prototyping ideas, and running experiments. This position will play a key role in shaping how the team executes this strategic work, moving beyond a ticket-processing role to one focused on building solutions for repetitive processes. The ideal candidate will gain a deep understanding of operations within the first few months, and by six months, will be primarily focused on building automations, prototyping tools, and partnering with product teams on future initiatives.

Requirements

  • AI-native: Daily use of AI tools like Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, Replit, or similar, with demonstrable shipped projects
  • Builder mentality: Ability to use AI to rapidly build working prototypes and internal tools, comfort with AI coding agents, API usage, and end-to-end shipping of small tools
  • Strategically ambitious: Desire to automate entire categories of work and understand how individual contributions connect to the bigger picture
  • Operationally excellent: Ability to manage a queue, meet deadlines, and maintain reliability while pursuing automation
  • Fast learner, low ego: Comfortable starting in new functional areas, asking good questions, and quickly acquiring new skills without constant direction
  • 0-4 years of experience in ops, product, consulting, engineering, or a startup generalist role; new graduates with self-initiated building projects are considered

Responsibilities

  • Own core Product Ops workflows: account provisioning, content creation, and product development support for EPD teams
  • Develop deep knowledge of how Adaptive's products work, how customers use them, and where the operational friction lives
  • Identify automation opportunities while performing tasks hands-on
  • Build and ship automations that eliminate previously manual processes (e.g., Agent skills, API integrations, internally-built tools and apps)
  • Set up monitoring and playbooks for reliable and maintainable automated workflows
  • Partner with product, design, and engineering to productize impactful automations
  • Own the automation roadmap for Product Ops, prioritizing future builds based on team time allocation
  • Partner with product teams to evaluate new opportunities, including building quick prototypes, running experiments, and generating signal on investment areas before engineering commitment
  • Lead strategic content initiatives, prototyping new product ideas and collecting market feedback on potential product investment areas
  • Help establish the playbook for Product Ops' evolution from execution support to a strategic partner for EPD teams as Adaptive expands its product offerings

  • Competitive compensation
  • Premium healthcare and wellness benefits
  • Opportunity for continuous learning and growth
