AI Product Designer
About The Position
You’ll play a critical role in shaping Durable’s core user experience. You’ll lead the design of intelligent, AI-native systems that feel proactive, intuitive, and approachable. This isn’t a traditional SaaS design role, you’ll be inventing new patterns for interacting with AI, simplifying complex tasks into beautiful flows, and helping small business owners feel empowered by AI, not afraid of it. You’ll work cross-functionally with product, engineering, and leadership to define what great AI UX looks like and set the standard for how we build it. You’ll be a force multiplier for the design team: guiding others, raising the bar, and delivering work that moves the business forward.
Requirements
- 5+ years of product design experience on shipped B2C products, with a portfolio you can speak to in depth
- Comfortable producing in code or with AI-assisted coding tools (v0, Cursor, or equivalent)
- Fluent with the current generation of AI creative tooling (image gen, video gen, voice) and opinionated about where they're useful
- Experience designing AI or generative experiences: prompt interfaces, automated output, multi-modal interactions
- Systems thinking: design patterns and component libraries that scaled beyond the features you built them for
