OmnicellAtlanta, GA

About The Position

Omnicell is building its AI governance program and we are looking for a Manager, AI Frameworks and Standards to join our Legal Department and help decide how AI is designed, evaluated, and trusted across the company. As a foundational member of Omnicell’s AI Governance team, you will help the organization select, tailor, and operationalize an appropriate AI risk management framework, drawing on standards such as the NIST AI Risk Management Framework and ISO/IEC 42001, and translate them into practical controls, processes, and documentation. Partnering with engineering, product, privacy, security, and quality teams, you will help the business produce the artifacts that make AI systems transparent and accountable, including model cards and data cards.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in AI governance, risk management, compliance, audit, or a related function, including work with control frameworks or standards
  • Demonstrated experience adopting or operationalizing a risk management framework or standard, such as the NIST AI RMF, ISO/IEC 42001, ISO 27001, or NIST CSF
  • Strong working knowledge of AI risk management frameworks and standards, including the NIST AI Risk Management Framework and ISO/IEC 42001
  • Experience translating frameworks, standards, or regulations into practical controls, processes, and documentation
  • A working understanding of machine learning concepts and the AI lifecycle, from data and model development through deployment and monitoring
  • Familiarity with AI transparency and documentation artifacts, such as model cards, data cards, and system cards, and with what makes them effective
  • Familiarity with how AI standards intersect with regulations such as the EU AI Act and with adjacent frameworks such as ISO 27001
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to perform gap analyses and map controls across multiple frameworks
  • A track record of partnering across data science, engineering, product, privacy, security, and quality teams, with excellent stakeholder management skills
  • The ability to explain technical and regulatory concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • The ability to operate independently in a fast-moving environment, manage competing priorities, and stay highly organized, with sharp attention to detail and a commitment to thorough documentation

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent practical experience
  • Experience developing AI documentation artifacts, such as model cards, data cards, or system cards
  • Healthcare, life sciences, or other regulated-industry experience
  • Relevant certifications, such as AIGP, CIPM, or CRISC
  • Experience with AI governance, GRC, or model documentation tooling, such as ServiceNow, OneTrust, Credo AI, or similar platforms
  • Experience preparing an organization for audits or certification against a recognized framework or standard
  • Relevant advanced education, such as a degree or coursework in law, data science, computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience

Responsibilities

  • Give Omnicell a defensible, standards-based foundation for AI, so that teams across the company can build and deploy AI systems with confidence, and so that customers, regulators, and patients can trust how those systems are governed.
  • Lead the selection and adoption of an AI risk management framework appropriate to Omnicell’s business, drawing on standards such as the NIST AI Risk Management Framework and ISO/IEC 42001.
  • Translate framework requirements into practical policies, controls, processes, and documentation that fit Omnicell’s existing risk management and product development practices.
  • Conduct gap analyses against target frameworks and standards, and develop and track remediation roadmaps to close them.
  • Partner with data science, engineering, and product teams to develop AI transparency and accountability artifacts, including model cards, data cards, and system cards.
  • Establish standards, templates, and guidance for AI documentation so that artifacts are consistent, complete, and maintained across the AI lifecycle.
  • Map controls across frameworks and regulations, such as the NIST AI RMF, ISO/IEC 42001, and the EU AI Act, to reduce duplicate effort and ensure key requirements are covered.
  • Support the design and operation of AI governance structures, such as an AI governance committee, including roles, responsibilities, and review cadences.
  • Prepare the organization for AI audits, assessments, and potential ISO/IEC 42001 certification, including evidence collection and control documentation.
  • Build AI literacy by developing training and guidance that help teams understand and apply the chosen frameworks and standards.
  • Monitor evolving AI frameworks, standards, and regulatory expectations, and recommend updates that keep Omnicell’s program current.

Benefits

  • Flexibility in working hours as needed
