About The Position

Guardian Service is hiring an AI-native software engineer to prototype and deploy internal tools that materially improve how the company operates. This role is focused on building backend-heavy, AI-enabled systems that automate workflows across CRM, email, telephony, and operations. You’ll work directly with business teams to turn workflow pain points into working software—often in days, not months. This is a high-ownership role for someone who enjoys building quickly, operating with minimal structure, and seeing their work drive immediate impact. Guardian Service views AI and internal tooling as a core competitive advantage. The systems built in this role will directly impact speed, efficiency, and scalability across the business. Requirements

Strong fluency in Python
Strong backend engineering and systems design skills
Experience building internal tools, workflow automations, or platform utilities
Ability to operate independently from vague problem to working solution
Familiarity with Google Cloud (e.g., BigQuery, Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, etc.)
Strong debugging instincts and practical product sense
Comfort using AI tools and LLM APIs in development workflows

Nice To Haves

Experience with Salesforce or CRM-integrated systems
Familiarity with telephony or contact-center systems
Experience with workflow orchestration or email automation
Experience with containerization and lightweight service deployment
Insurance or fintech experience

Responsibilities

Rapidly prototype internal tools that eliminate manual work and improve efficiency
Partner directly with business teams to translate workflow problems into software solutions
Design, build, and deploy backend-heavy applications and automations
Build tools locally for fast iteration, then migrate to cloud environments when validated
Use LLMs and AI tooling pragmatically to accelerate development and enhance functionality
Design system architectures, APIs, and async workflows
Integrate tools with CRM, email, telephony, and internal data systems
Own deployment, monitoring, and iteration of tools as they scale
