AI-Native Chief of Staff

Aonic•San Francisco, CA
•$140,000 - $180,000•Onsite

About The Position

Aonic is building Aonic Club, an online, AI-native membership offering elevated everyday products at cost, starting with functional nutrition. The company makes its products and uses AI agents for sourcing, content, forecasting, and customer service. Its ambition is to reach 1 million members and become a $10 billion company within a few years. The AI-Native Chief of Staff works directly with the CEO on high-impact problems across operations, growth, and finance. The role turns ambiguous, high-stakes problems into structured analysis, decisions, and execution, often by building AI-powered systems and workflows. Within the first months, the person will take ownership of a major responsibility, such as a department or product category, and build it from scratch. This is a broad, demanding role for someone seeking substantial responsibility, ownership, and exposure. The position is onsite in San Francisco's Jackson Square. The stated work schedule is 8 a.m.–7 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 8 a.m.–5 p.m. Friday. Compensation is $140,000–$180,000 base plus substantial equity, with the company targeting seven-figure annual compensation through upside.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of work experience, typically 3 to 8 years, at a leading company, with a strong track record of career progression.
  • A degree from a top-tier university in engineering, science, math, business, or a related field.
  • Candidates with a business background must have taught themselves at least basic coding and demonstrate technical fluency.
  • An AI-native mindset, with hands-on experience using AI tools, automation platforms, and low-code solutions to drive real outcomes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability, with comfort working across operations, growth, and finance.
  • Genuine interest in solving real-world business problems, including physical operations such as production, supply chain, warehousing, delivery, and customer experience.
  • Strong ambition and desire for responsibility and steep growth.
  • Strong work ethic and intensity, with comfort working 8 a.m.–7 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 8 a.m.–5 p.m. Friday.
  • Ability to combine structured thinking, practical judgment, prioritization, commercial intuition, clear communication, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • High agency: notices problems, takes ownership, and executes without waiting.
