About The Position

As an AI Model Engineer, you’ll advance organizational strategy to deliver leading edge capabilities and drive transformation. You’ll play a key part in operationalizing Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) models into production analytical workflows, enabling improved decision advantage across mission areas.

Requirements

5+ years of experience in AI/ML engineering, data science, or software engineering
3+ years of experience developing, training, and deploying ML models into production environments
Experience building, training, and deploying AI/ML models within secure environments
Experience with Python and common ML frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow
Knowledge of data engineering concepts, version control, and MLOps methodologies
Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to various stakeholders
Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
TS/SCI clearance
Bachelor’s degree in CS, Data Science, AI, Electrical Engineering, or Applied Mathematics

Nice To Haves

Experience with geospatial data, analysis tools, or model development
Experience with distributed computing, containerization, and workflow orchestration tools
Experience designing inference pipelines optimized for performance and scalability
Experience supporting DoW organizations or intelligence workflows
Knowledge of emerging AI/ML trends relevant to mission-driven environments

Responsibilities

Develop, refine, and deploy AI/ML models into operational environments.
Integrate models into analytical workflows to enhance mission efficiency and effectiveness.
Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and mission stakeholders to translate analytical needs into scalable technical solutions.
Establish best practices for model lifecycle management, monitoring, and performance optimization.
Ensure model reliability, reproducibility, and compliance with applicable security and technical standards.
Support ongoing modernization initiatives by evaluating emerging technologies and tools.
