About The Position

Future Works is hiring an AI/ML Engineer for an engagement designing and building an AI agent system to manage a complex, high-value enterprise transaction workflow from initial engagement through close-out. The engineer will build agent capabilities in parallel during the build phases, working under the Lead AI/Agent Architect. The role involves implementing tool integrations, data pipelines, and stage-specific agent components so a complete transaction scenario can run end to end against sandbox data. The work spans individual stages of an eight-stage workflow, from engagement and needs assessment through market research, tours, RFP and proposal analysis, lease abstraction, close-out, and invoicing. The engineer will implement the orchestration and handoff protocols defined by the Lead Architect, encode required human approval gates, and help validate quality through scenario-based and end-to-end testing. The position also participates in Phase 1 architecture workshops.

Requirements

  • At least 4 years of experience in software or machine learning engineering.
  • Production experience building LLM-powered features or agents.
  • Hands-on experience with agent frameworks, tool and function calling, retrieval, and prompt engineering.
  • Strong Python skills and practical experience building data pipelines and integrating structured and unstructured data sources.
  • Comfort parsing, extracting, and generating documents in formats such as PDF, DOCX, and structured templates.
  • Ability to move quickly in hypothesis-driven, milestone-based sprint cycles, shipping working components and iterating against real evidence.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience implementing financial analytics such as lease economics, NPV, and scenario modelling.
  • Experience with NLP information extraction, including clause and entity extraction from contracts or leases.
  • Exposure to commercial real estate or another document-heavy transaction domain.
  • Comfort using LLM code assistants and agentic engineering to ship faster and with higher quality.

Responsibilities

  • Implement agent capabilities for individual transaction workflow stages, following the orchestration model and stage handoff protocols defined by the Lead Architect.
  • Build typed tools for template population, market-data queries, financial analytics, clause and lease-clause extraction, and document assembly.
  • Build and maintain data pipelines using sandbox and representative sample data, including the property availability data source.
  • Implement architect-specified approval gates and review checkpoints so binding steps route through broker confirmation.
  • Validate components against deal-scenario data and participate in end-to-end testing across all eight stages, checking artifact quality and stage handoff integrity.
  • Participate in Phase 1 architecture workshops to help ensure the build starts on solid foundations.

Benefits

  • Work from anywhere as part of a fully remote, global team.
  • All-expenses-paid company retreats in unique locations.
  • Competitive compensation package including equity, bonuses, and substantial participation in company profits.
  • Clear growth path to C-level leadership based on performance.
