About The Position

The AI/ML Developer role is assigned to the Job Role of Technology Consultant 2 within Infosys Financial Services. The team supports digital transformation for financial institutions using AI, cloud, and data-led innovation, with projects across banking, wealth management, and insurance. The position contributes across the software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering and design through coding, testing, integration, deployment support, and ongoing reliability work.

The role focuses on developing AI/ML solutions, including Intelligent Document Processing (IDP) for document classification and information extraction. The developer collaborates with technical and cross-functional teams, translates complex requirements into development tasks, and helps ensure that software is stable, well tested, documented, and supported. The position may require relocation and/or travel to the work or project location. Applicants authorized to work in the United States are encouraged to apply.

Requirements

• Experience in AI/ML solution development.
• Experience designing and implementing Intelligent Document Processing (IDP) solutions for document classification and information extraction.
• Ability to provide technical leadership and deliver in a time-bound environment.
• Experience with AI/ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, Hugging Face, LangChain, or equivalent.
• Experience with AWS core services and SageMaker.
• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent from an accredited institution; three years of progressive specialty experience may be considered in lieu of each year of education.
• Collaborative spirit and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to translate complex requirements into actionable development tasks.
• Passion for design and hands-on coding experience.
• Proactive approach to testing, troubleshooting, and refining applications.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with OCR for extracting data from PDFs, scanned images, and Word documents.
• Experience with AI/ML-based document auto-classification to address misfiled documents, such as a 1040 filed as a W2.
• Experience in NLP and Computer Vision for document understanding.
• Experience with Large Language Models (LLMs) for document understanding.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to requirements elicitation by documenting assigned portions of business requirements in line with guidance.
• Facilitate software application design discussions and document design decisions for the technical team.
• Participate in coding and integrate new features or updates into existing applications while maintaining system stability.
• Conduct code reviews, make codebase changes, and maintain code repositories.
• Implement test strategies, analyze results, and coordinate bug fixes to uphold software quality standards.
• Develop user training programs, documentation, and support frameworks to facilitate transitions to new software applications.
• Participate in resolving production issues and recommend preventive strategies to improve system reliability.
• Maintain records of code, testing techniques, and support activities to enrich the knowledge base and assist similar projects.
• Handle end-to-end SDLC phases, from requirements gathering through implementation.
• Work with cross-functional teams and perform software integration.
