AI Growth Engineer at SignalFire
About The Position
Join the first venture capital firm built like a technology company. You will design and ship production-grade AI agents that revolutionize how SignalFire sources deals and supports founders. Reporting to former Meta and Reddit product leaders, you will define the AI roadmap and build infrastructure using the proprietary Beacon platform tracking 650M employees. Why this role is remarkable: Work at the intersection of VC and AI, reporting to Heath Black (ex-Meta) and collaborating with CTO Ilya Kirnos (ex-Google) and Bill MacCartney (ex-Cohere/Apple). Direct impact on a $3B AUM firm by building AI systems that touch every corner of the business, from deal sourcing to portfolio success. High autonomy in an elite, senior-heavy engineering environment where you define the product roadmap rather than just executing on one. What you will do: Design, prototype, and deploy production-ready AI agents and agentic workflows using Python and modern LLM frameworks. Embed with internal teams to act as a strategic technical advisor, tailoring AI models to specific business needs across marketing, talent, and data. Integrate complex AI solutions into the Beacon platform and existing cloud infrastructure to provide an unmatched data advantage in the startup ecosystem. The ideal candidate: 5-7+ years of software engineering experience with a strong foundation in backend Python and shipping clean, production-grade code. Hands-on experience building agentic workflows using frameworks like LangChain, LlamaIndex, or CrewAI and optimizing LLM performance. Exceptional communication skills to consult with non-technical stakeholders and a scrappy, founder-level mindset that thrives in ambiguous environments.
Requirements
