About The Position

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented AI Governance Lead to join our team! In this role you will get to will serve as the AI Governance Lead supporting the USCYBERCOM Chief AI Officer (CAIO). This role is responsible for architecting and operationalizing the institutional structures needed to manage artificial intelligence initiatives across the command. The Governance Lead will map out, implement, and oversee processes, review boards, and operational frameworks to ensure that USCYBERCOM's AI integration aligns with broader U.S. Government and Department of War governance structures.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in institutional governance, program oversight, operational management, or compliance, preferably within the defense or national security sector.
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Public Administration, Public Policy, Organizational Management, Information Systems, Law, Artificial Intelligence, or a closely related discipline w/ 12 years experience or MS degree in relevant field w/ 10 years experience.
  • Demonstrated, deep understanding of U.S. Government and Department of War (DoW) governance structures, agency hierarchies, and operational frameworks, specifically regarding Artificial Intelligence or advanced technology integration.
  • Proven ability to build structured, scalable management processes from the ground up within complex bureaucratic environments.
  • Exceptional analytical, organizational, and written/verbal communication skills, with experience presenting complex operational frameworks to senior decision-makers.
  • Active TS SCI w/polygraph

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of USCYBERCOM's internal AI governance frameworks, operating procedures, workflows, and oversight mechanisms to ensure effective program execution and accountability.
  • Analyze and implement applicable U.S. Government and Department of War (DoW) AI governance models, directives, and best practices, ensuring the command's internal governance processes align with national defense priorities and strategic objectives.
  • Establish, coordinate, and manage AI governance review boards, project intake processes, and lifecycle decision points to promote accountability, assess capability maturity, and ensure alignment of resources with mission priorities.
  • Collaborate closely with the AI Policy Lead, technical teams, legal counsel, operational directorates, and other key stakeholders to translate governance requirements into effective operational practices across the command.
  • Develop governance charters, standard operating procedures, process documentation, executive summaries, and briefing materials to provide senior military and civilian leadership with visibility into governance effectiveness, organizational readiness, and oversight activities.
