About The Position

This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience designing, developing, and improving AI solutions while working alongside experienced professionals on projects that deliver meaningful business impact. The role involves leveraging Generative AI capabilities to solve business problems, prototype innovative ideas, and help deliver intelligent solutions that create business value. The intern will play a crucial role in advancing AI initiatives by supporting the development, deployment, and continuous improvement of AI-powered solutions.

Requirements

Passion for artificial intelligence and excitement to explore how Generative AI can solve real-world business problems.
Hands-on experience with AI technologies through coursework, personal projects, research, hackathons, or previous internships.
Experience with one or more programming languages such as Python, Java, C#, JavaScript, or similar, and understand the importance of writing clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
Enjoy learning new technologies, experimenting with new ideas, and continuously improving technical skills.
Naturally curious, enjoy solving complex problems, and can think critically to translate business needs into technical solutions.
Detail-oriented, organized, and take ownership of work from concept through completion.
Communicate technical concepts clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing, and enjoy collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Patient, approachable, and enjoy sharing knowledge while learning from others.
Currently enrolled in and pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related technical discipline at an accredited institution.
Completed at least 30 semester hours prior to the start of the internship.
Good academic standing with a cumulative GPA of at least 2.75.
Summer interns may work up to 40 hours per week.

Nice To Haves

Experience with Generative AI tools, APIs, or AI-powered applications is a plus.

Responsibilities

Review and analyze large datasets to identify patterns, trends, and opportunities that improve AI solutions and support business decision-making.
Leverage Generative AI capabilities to solve business problems, develop proof-of-concepts, and build innovative AI-driven solutions that enhance business processes and user experiences.
Collaborate with engineering and AI teams to develop, train, evaluate, and refine machine learning and Generative AI solutions, including applications that generate product content, classify information, and automate business processes.
Conduct rigorous testing of AI solutions to ensure accuracy, reliability, and effectiveness. Evaluate AI-generated outputs, identify opportunities for improvement, and assist in optimizing model performance.
Maintain clear documentation of development activities, model performance, prompts, workflows, and technical changes to support knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product management, marketing, and business stakeholders, to understand requirements and ensure AI solutions align with business objectives.
Stay current with emerging trends in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and Generative AI, and actively contribute ideas that improve solution quality, business value, and user experience.
