About The Position

The AI Enablement Partner is a novel role at Athennian, sitting at the intersection of IT, operations, and People functions. This role aims to bridge the gap between human and synthetic cognition by identifying where AI can reduce cognitive load, building AI agents and automations, and coaching users. The partner will collaborate cross-functionally to help teams improve speed, automate processes, and understand AI's potential benefits. Ideal candidates are passionate about AI, comfortable with ambiguity, skilled in explaining complex automations, and have a proven track record of building agents, workflows, and integrations.

Requirements

  • Technical Stack Fluency: Ability to independently host, connect, and manage AI agents within an existing tech stack without engineer reliance. Comfortable with APIs, webhooks, and production deployment infrastructure decisions.
  • Hands-on experience across tools like Google Workspace, Slack, HubSpot, and Zapier.
  • Platform Fluency: Deep familiarity with AI platforms including Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Cursor, and emerging tools, understanding their strengths, limitations, and best-fit use cases.
  • Integration Experience: Experience connecting tools and systems via APIs, no-code/low-code platforms, and automation frameworks to build practical, production-ready workflows.
  • Curiosity & Learning Orientation: Genuine curiosity about how things work, including people and roles across the business. Ability to understand workflows before recommending AI solutions. Strong questioning, listening, and quick learning skills.
  • Analytical Mindset: Natural and structured approach to problem-solving. Ability to dig deep, work autonomously, and move quickly from diagnosis to solution, especially with novel problems.
  • Trusted Communicator: Genuine interpersonal warmth and communication skills. Ability to help anxious individuals feel capable and confident with AI. Skill in explaining complex workflows to non-technical audiences.
  • Enablement Instinct: Experience in training, enablement, change management, or adult learning (formal or informal). Ability to help people adopt new behaviors.
  • Startup Orientation: Comfort operating in ambiguity. Ability to bring structure to uncertainty in an evolving role and fast-moving space.

  • Familiarity with SaaS, legal tech, compliance, or knowledge-work environments.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and deploy AI agents and automated workflows across business functions, integrating tools and systems to reduce manual cognitive load and accelerate output.
  • Identify opportunities to connect platforms (e.g., CRMs, project management tools, communication stacks) and build automations for intelligent integration.
  • Maintain and iterate on a library of prompts, agents, and workflow templates for self-service use.
  • Partner with Privacy and Information Security and DevOps & Infrastructure teams to ensure safe deployment of AI tools, agents, and integrations, managing organizational visibility, assessing new tools for risk, and balancing enablement pace with exposure management.
  • Serve as an embedded AI resource across departments, understanding workflows, identifying automation opportunities, and implementing solutions.
  • Manage an internal AI support queue, triaging and resolving requests for guidance, tool recommendations, or hands-on AI assistance.
  • Build trusted relationships by being a patient, approachable, and helpful partner, acting as both a technical resource and a thinking partner.
  • Design and deliver practical, role-based AI training to develop user proficiency with relevant tools and patterns.
  • Co-facilitate task audits, micro-sprints, and design sessions to map AI integration into workflows using a six AI application patterns framework.
  • Support the development of AI competency frameworks and career path integration with the People Team.
  • Champion psychological safety around AI adoption, addressing automation anxiety with empathy, building confidence, and positioning AI as a capability amplifier.
  • Stay current with the AI landscape, tracking product releases, model updates, and emerging tools across platforms like Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, and Cursor.
  • Synthesize and share relevant AI developments with the organization in accessible, actionable formats, providing clear recommendations.
  • Evaluate new tools, platforms, and integrations for organizational fit and provide evidence-based recommendations to leadership.
  • Execute the AI Adoption Transformation roadmap, contributing to showcase preparation, champion network activation, and cross-platform usage tracking.
  • Maintain and update internal tool guidance documentation for employee reference.
  • Track and report on adoption metrics, project outcomes, and time savings to demonstrate AI investment impact.
