The Liberty Company Insurance Brokers is seeking an AI-enabled developer to design, build, and ship internal applications, integrations, and automations that support the brokerage. The role works across Liberty’s internal platform—including web applications, AI assistants, and tool servers—and connects producers, account managers, and operations teams to data from agency management systems, carrier feeds, document systems, and finance platforms. This is a hands-on software engineering role, not an AI research or systems administration position. The developer will use AI coding assistants and agents as a core part of their workflow while applying engineering discipline to deliver secure, reliable, production-grade software. The work spans SQL, APIs, user interfaces, and deployment and operations on Microsoft Azure. The developer will turn business needs from Operations, Sales, Finance, BI, and other teams into working software, from prototype through production. They will build AI-powered features using large language model APIs, including tool calling, retrieval over company data, and MCP servers that provide AI assistants with safe, scoped access to Liberty systems. The role also involves integrating with business platforms, writing tests and AI evaluations, and following established software engineering practices. The position deploys and operates applications on Azure in coordination with IT, works with SQL Server and Azure SQL data, and incorporates role-based access, audit logging, and data-handling controls. The developer will monitor and improve production applications, assess new AI tools and workflows, share effective practices, and help colleagues use AI tools productively. The role is listed as remote, with a salary range of $100,000 to $140,000 per year.
