About The Position

The AI Director is the senior thought leader on AI for FS-ISAC and its members. The director will lead FS-ISAC’s internal and external efforts to define, shape, and operationalize FS-ISAC’s AI security and resilience, including best practices and lessons learned for members and internal AI security and resilience approaches for FS-ISAC’s operations. This role combines strategic advisory, industry convening, and program execution. The individual will lead member-facing AI thought leadership, assess and evolve FS-ISAC’s current approach to AI security and resilience, and define a forward-looking strategy that drives measurable impact across the global financial system. Operating with high visibility across executive leadership and global stakeholders, this role contributes to enterprise-level priorities, including engagement with the CEO and external industry leaders. The role also collaborates with the CISO to support internal AI governance policy development and implementation of secure AI capabilities across the sector.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity, risk management, financial services, or emerging technology.
  • Strong demonstrated experience as an active user and practitioner of artificial intelligence technologies, including generative AI tools and AI-assisted platforms, with the ability to apply AI effectively in a professional environment.
  • Experience leading discussions, collaboration initiatives, or strategic engagement efforts related to artificial intelligence, emerging technologies, cybersecurity, or technology risks.
  • Experience conducting strategic assessments and delivering enterprise-level recommendations.
  • Proven ability to lead industry forums, working groups, or cross-sector initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of the global financial services ecosystem and regulatory landscape.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and executive communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in a high-visibility role with exposure to senior leadership.
  • Familiarity with AI governance frameworks and global regulatory expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver a prioritized, actionable strategy for FS-ISAC’s AI-related efforts internally and externally.
  • Lead and facilitate the organization’s AI-focused communities of interest, driving collaboration, knowledge sharing, and strategic engagement related to artificial intelligence risk, secure AI adoption, preparing for and leveraging AI, including frontier AI models.
  • Monitor and analyze emerging developments in artificial intelligence, adversarial AI, AI regulation, AI security risks to inform community priorities, member discussions, and thought leadership activities.
  • Represent FS-ISAC in key industry forums with public and private sector partners.
  • Convene global members, regulators, and partners to drive collaboration and intelligence sharing.
  • Actively leverage AI technologies to enhance community engagement, member communications, research development, content creation, operational efficiency, intelligence synthesis, and strategic collaboration initiatives.
  • Deliver high-value outputs such as frameworks, best practices, and risk guidance.
  • Ensure sustained engagement and measurable member value.
  • Establish KPIs and success metrics for AI initiatives and communities.
  • Manage cross-functional delivery, timelines, and resources.
  • Ensure high-quality execution of meetings, briefings, publications, and global events.
  • Provide strategic insights, briefings, and recommendations to executive leadership, including contributions to CEO-level priorities.
  • Represent FS-ISAC in global forums, working groups, and industry initiatives.
  • Engage with regulators, standard-setting bodies, and peer organizations to align on AI and emerging technology risk approaches.
  • Support the CSO in the development of internal AI policies, governance frameworks, and risk management practices.
  • Partner with team members across FS-ISAC to understand and identify opportunities to leverage AI in support of FS-ISAC’s strategy.
