About The Position

This position is responsible for leading Teichert's data, analytics, AI, and digital literacy and workforce development efforts, building the skills and confidence employees need to use data, AI, and everyday digital tools effectively in their daily work. The AI & Digital Training Program Lead partners with the Senior Data, Analytics & AI Manager and business division stakeholders to translate Teichert's data, analytics & AI strategy into practical training, communication, and community-building programs. This role starts by developing and delivering AI training across the organization and launching Teichert's AI Community of Practice, then expands into a broader, ongoing literacy and culture program spanning data, AI, business intelligence, and core digital productivity tools such as the Microsoft 365 suite. This role sits within the Data & Technology Solutions department and contributes to the build-out of Teichert's enterprise data platform, data science and AI capabilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required via one of two pathways: Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Analytics, Information Technology, or a related technical field, paired with demonstrated experience or training in training development, facilitation, communications, and change management or Degree in Business, Organizational Development, Instructional Design, or a related field, paired with demonstrated technical proficiency in data, statistics, analytics, and AI/ML concepts gained through applied work, coursework, or certification.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience reflecting one of the two pathways above: either a technical career (data science, computer science, IT, or similar) that has grown into training, communications, and change management responsibilities, or a business career that has built genuine, hands-on technical depth in data, analytics, statistics, or AI/ML through applied work, coursework, or certification.
  • Successful completion of pre-employment drug, alcohol, and background investigation.
  • Demonstrated power-user proficiency with generative AI and large language model tools (e.g., Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude), with the ability to translate hands-on experience into practical, teachable examples for non-technical audiences.
  • Working knowledge of core data, analytics, and AI concepts (e.g., how machine learning and generative AI models work at a conceptual level, data visualization, data modeling, data quality and governance basics) sufficient to teach and answer questions from non-technical employees.
  • Strong working proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools and the ability to teach practical, everyday use of these tools to employees with varying levels of digital comfort.
  • Experience designing curriculum, facilitating workshops, and developing training materials for diverse audiences, including both technical and non-technical staff.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and facilitation skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into plain, actionable language.
  • Ability to quickly build credibility and get up to speed in field, plant, or operational environments, adapting training content and delivery to operational realities and schedules.
  • Experience building or supporting communities of practice, employee resource groups, or similar peer-network structures.
  • Ability to preserve confidential and proprietary information and successfully avoid conflicts of interest.
  • Experience working effectively in cross-functional teams and establishing positive working relationships across functions and levels.
  • Must be able to prioritize, manage multiple workstreams, and recognize when to seek direction.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in asset-intensive industries such as construction, mining, energy, transportation, or manufacturing is preferred.
  • Change management framework (e.g. Prosci) certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Designs and delivers Teichert's AI training curriculum for employees at all levels, tailoring content and depth to different audiences, from construction and plant staff to office and leadership teams.
  • Launches and stewards Teichert's AI Community of Practice, recruiting and supporting internal advocates and creating regular venues for peer learning, use-case sharing, and troubleshooting.
  • Develops and delivers broader digital literacy training, including practical instruction on Microsoft 365 tools such as Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive, so employees can collaborate, communicate, and access information effectively as part of their everyday work.
  • Partners with the Senior Data, Analytics & AI Manager to translate the enterprise data, analytics & AI strategy into a workforce development roadmap, including skills assessments, training priorities, and rollout sequencing.
  • Builds awareness and change management campaigns that communicate the value of data and AI in plain, practical terms, helping employees recognize how data and AI already show up in their day-to-day work.
  • Measures training participation, competency growth, and program impact; uses results to refine curriculum, targeting, and delivery methods over time.
  • Collaborates with business leaders and HR/Talent Development to align literacy programs with functional needs, onboarding, and career development pathways including Teichert University.
  • Partners with business analysts to liaise between the business and Data & Technology Solutions, surfacing literacy gaps, training needs, and emerging AI or other digital use cases that may warrant broader support or governance.
  • Stays current on data, statistics, analytics, and AI/ML tools, techniques, and best practices to keep training content, materials, and community programming practical and relevant.

  • BASE SALARY RANGE: $133,333 - $186,667
