About The Position

Moog, Inc. is seeking an AI Developer to join the Commercial Aircraft Group’s technology team in East Aurora, NY. The role supports the development, implementation, and adoption of artificial intelligence solutions that enhance business processes, improve decision-making, and drive operational efficiency. The AI Developer partners with stakeholders across functions to identify opportunities for AI-enabled innovation and deliver scalable solutions aligned with business objectives. The position designs, develops, implements, and supports AI-powered applications, integrations, and workflows. It contributes to proof-of-concepts and pilot initiatives, supports testing and deployment, monitors solution performance, and continuously improves solutions. The role also helps ensure compliance with security, governance, privacy, and Responsible AI standards; creates technical documentation and support procedures; evaluates emerging technologies; and supports digital transformation through automation and AI-enabled process improvements. The position is onsite in Buffalo, NY. It requires access to U.S. export-controlled information.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, Information Systems, Artificial Intelligence, or a related discipline.
Experience developing software applications using modern programming languages such as Python, C#, JavaScript, or similar technologies.
Experience working with cloud platforms and services, preferably Microsoft Azure.
Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence, Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), and machine learning concepts.
Experience developing, integrating, and supporting business applications and enterprise solutions.
Experience working with APIs, databases, and data integration technologies.
Understanding of software development lifecycle methodologies and Agile development practices.
Experience gathering and translating business requirements into technical solutions.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
Understanding of cybersecurity principles, data privacy requirements, and Responsible AI practices.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate effectively across technical and business teams.
Self-motivated, with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement.

Nice To Haves

Experience with Microsoft AI technologies, Azure OpenAI, Power Platform, or Copilot solutions.
Experience with data analytics, reporting, and visualization tools such as Power BI.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, implement, and support AI-powered applications and solutions that improve business operations and user experiences.

Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand challenges, define requirements, and develop AI-driven solutions.

Develop and optimize prompts, workflows, and AI interactions to improve solution performance and effectiveness.
Support deployment, testing, validation, and ongoing enhancement of AI solutions.
Ensure AI solutions align with security, governance, compliance, and Responsible AI standards.
Partner with IT, cybersecurity, and business teams to support adoption of new technologies.
Create and maintain technical documentation, development standards, and support procedures.
Monitor solution performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement continuous improvements.
Evaluate emerging AI technologies and recommend solutions aligned with organizational goals.
Provide technical guidance and share knowledge with project teams and business stakeholders.
Support digital transformation initiatives through automation and AI-enabled process improvements.
Maintain relationships with internal customers to ensure technology solutions meet evolving business needs.
