About The Position

The AI & Data Senior Manager - Platform Engineering Lead implements and contributes to short-term tactical and operational plans while leading the development and deployment of AI models and data architectures to improve business processes and system performance. The role manages a small to mid-sized AI and data team, enforces governance standards, drives continuous improvement and innovation, and collaborates across the organization to apply AI and analytics to business needs. This is an onsite, office-centric role based at a Truist core location, with five days per week onsite. Truist will not provide visa sponsorship or other immigration-related support for this position. The stated work shift is 1st shift (United States of America), and English fluency is required. Regular teammates working at least 20 hours per week are eligible for benefits, subject to the eligibility terms described in the posting. Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI, Software Engineering, a related field, or equivalent education, training, and work-related experience.
At least 7 years of professional experience in AI and data.
Experience managing teams and delivering AI and data-driven solutions.
Strong knowledge of AI models, data architectures, and analytics methodologies.
English language fluency is required.
Must be able to work onsite five days per week at a Truist core location.
Truist will not sponsor work visas or provide immigration-related support for this position.

Nice To Haves

Advanced degree in a relevant technical or business discipline.
Experience in the financial services industry.
Familiarity with regulatory compliance and data governance frameworks.
Knowledge of emerging trends in AI and data.
Demonstrated expertise architecting and delivering production-grade AI/ML and agentic AI solutions using platforms such as Amazon SageMaker, AWS Bedrock and AgentCore, and Azure OpenAI.

Responsibilities

Implement and contribute to key elements of short-term tactical and operational plans, generally covering less than one year.
Lead the development and deployment of AI models and data architectures to enhance business processes and system performance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI solutions into business applications and workflows.
Conduct experiments and assess AI initiative performance to drive continuous improvement.
Contribute to intellectual property and advance AI capabilities through innovation efforts.
Manage a small to mid-sized AI and data team, including lower-level managers and experienced individual contributors.
Develop and enforce AI and data governance standards aligned with organizational objectives and compliance requirements.
Coach and mentor teammates to build AI expertise and foster a data-driven culture.
Make moderate to significant improvements to AI and data processes and systems.
Collaborate with stakeholders to identify real-world problems and apply AI and analytics to produce actionable insights.
