About The Position

This position reports to the Director, Site AI Transformation (with matrix partnership to Quality and/or Digital) and ensures AI solutions are implemented responsibly while meeting Pfizer quality, regulatory and data governance expectations. This role continuously asks: can we trust it, can we validate it, can we defend it, can regulators inspect it? It embeds AI governance, data security, GxP compliance, and responsible-AI practices from the outset so validated solutions can be scaled with confidence. As a member of the site AI team, this role serves as a Front Door to organizations across the site — Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Engineering & Tech Services, Safety, Finance, and Quality — engaging stakeholders to surface opportunities, frame value cases, and deliver AI-enabled improvements measured by the money, time, risk, or capacity they save the business.

Requirements

Must have a bachelor's degree with at least 5+ years of experience; OR a master's degree with at least 3+ years of experience; OR a PhD with 0+ years of experience; OR as associate's degree with 8+ years of experience; OR a high school diploma (or equivalent) and 10+ years of relevant experience.
Experience supporting regulated systems, computerized system validation, data integrity, quality systems, cybersecurity, privacy, risk management, compliance, or governance processes.
Ability to interpret governance and compliance expectations and apply them pragmatically to business and technical solutions.
Strong documentation, risk assessment, stakeholder engagement, and written communication skills.
Permanent work authorization in the United States.

Nice To Haves

Experience with AI/ML governance, responsible AI, model risk management, GxP validation, FDA-regulated manufacturing, quality investigations, change control, cybersecurity, data privacy, or data governance preferred.
Experience partnering with Quality, Compliance, Validation, Digital/Product teams, Automation, Data Engineering, Data Science, and business process owners preferred.
Professional certification in quality, validation, cybersecurity, privacy, risk management, project management, or data governance preferred.

Responsibilities

Serve as a Front Door strategic partner to assigned site organizations for data enablement; understand each area's process flow and data sources firsthand.
Establish and maintain practical site AI governance practices aligned with enterprise responsible AI, quality, privacy, data governance, and validation expectations.
When required, perform or coordinate risk assessments for AI use cases, including GxP impact, data integrity, privacy, model risk, intended use, human oversight, and change control considerations.
Partner with Quality, Compliance, Validation, Digital, Data Governance, Legal/Privacy, and business owners to define required controls and documentation for each use case.
Support AI lifecycle documentation including intake records, intended use, data sources, assumptions, requirements, testing, validation strategy, monitoring, access controls, support model, and audit artifacts.
Maintain or support an inventory of site AI use cases, pilots, models, data products, controls, and lifecycle status as applicable.
Advise project teams on secure and compliant design, data use, model monitoring, human-in-the-loop controls, explainability, documentation, and inspection readiness.
Escalate governance, compliance, security, or model risk concerns and help define practical remediation actions.
Train and coach the AI team and business partners on responsible, compliant, and defensible AI practices.
