AI Data Analyst

Elessent Clean TechnologiesSt. Louis, MO

About The Position

Elessent Clean Technologies is seeking an AI Data Analyst to support our growing internal AI and analytics program. This role applies AI, automation, and data tools to solve real business problems — including dashboard development, workflow automation, AI agent prototyping, document processing, and user training. You will work closely with teams across engineering, operations, finance, and corporate functions to understand how work is performed, identify opportunities to improve speed and consistency, and deliver practical solutions using Microsoft Copilot, Copilot Studio, Power Automate, Power BI, Microsoft Office, and AI‑assisted development tools such as Cursor. Projects are typically short and outcome‑driven (weeks, not months), giving you frequent exposure to different business challenges and clear visibility into the impact of your work. In addition to building solutions, you will help enable others by supporting dashboards, lightweight apps or agents, and hands‑on training that accelerates adoption of AI tools across the organization. As part of this role, you will also support efforts to organize and prepare company information for use with AI knowledge agents. This work helps ensure dashboards, workflows, and AI tools are built on consistent, well‑organized, and trusted sources, enabling reliable analytics, automation, and AI‑assisted insights. This position emphasizes delivery, collaboration, and continuous learning, rather than research or theoretical data science.

Requirements

  • Experience level: 0–2 years of relevant experience, including internships, academic projects, or self‑directed work involving AI, analytics, or automation
  • AI proficiency: Hands‑on experience using tools such as ChatGPT or Microsoft Copilot to research, prototype, or improve workflows
  • Analytical mindset: Ability to understand business processes, identify inefficiencies, and propose practical, measurable improvements
  • Communication skills: Comfortable explaining AI‑assisted solutions to non‑technical audiences and supporting adoption through clear guidance or training
  • Technical foundation: Basic familiarity with scripting or logic (e.g., Python, VBA, or similar), or the ability to use AI tools to generate and adapt code as needed
  • Microsoft Office proficiency: Strong working knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook, with the ability to incorporate AI outputs into everyday business tools
  • Ownership and initiative: Willingness to take ideas from concept to completion, document work clearly, and stay focused on delivering real business value

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting or leading workshops, training sessions, or enablement efforts related to digital tools, automation, or process improvement
  • Familiarity with using AI for data extraction, summarization, reporting, or analysis

  • Interest in emerging AI applications for engineering, analytics, or business process optimization
