About The Position

Owner is building the agentic system for the next era of small business software. Visual content is one of the most visible and emotionally important parts of a restaurant’s brand—and it heavily shapes whether customers trust, click, and convert. We’re looking for an AI Creative Engineer to build and scale the creative engine behind Owner: image and video generation + processing pipelines that produce stunning, on-brand photos, illustrations, and video for restaurants out of the box. This role is 100% remote and can be based anywhere in the United States or Canada.

Requirements

Exceptional art direction and photographic taste; you can look at an output and instantly know what’s off and how to fix it.
Strong technical ability (you can code) and comfort building prototypes, scripts, and tooling to improve pipelines.
Deep curiosity and hands-on experience with modern image/video models, prompting, reference workflows, and iterative improvement.
A systems mindset: you care about reliability, cost, throughput, and guardrails—not just one-off great outputs.
High-ownership execution: you move quickly from insight to shipped improvements, and you’re relentless about quality.
Customer empathy for restaurants and an instinct for brand expression, vibe, and what “looks right” for different cuisines and identities.

Responsibilities

Own the end-to-end systems that generate and process restaurant imagery and video at scale.
Build a style system (presets + guidelines) that creates beautiful, brand-appropriate outputs across restaurant types.
Go deep with models and prompting to push quality, consistency, and creative range.
Ship pipelines and tooling for iteration, QA, and post-processing (upscaling, cleanup, framing, compression).
Build evaluation loops (rubrics, goldens, review) so creative quality improves continuously.
Partner closely with Engineering, Design, AI, and Launch teams to turn creative generation into a durable product advantage.
