About The Position

Hercules is looking for a senior or staff level product manager to own our AI coding agent. The primary goal is to make Hercules' AI coding agent cheaper, faster, and more accurate. This role will own the entire context/harness system design, including system prompt, tools, memory, skills, summarization/compression, hooks, and codebase design. The product manager will also be responsible for Hercules' online and offline evaluations, leveraging user data (100k+ users, 200k+ code repos, millions of chat threads) to guide experimentation.

Requirements

Strong software fundamentals and ability to code.
Decent understanding of system design, architecture, data modeling, and API design.
Strong product sense with intuition for customer goals and novel solutions.
Strong design sense with a track record of building simple, delightful UX/UI.
Strong experience with AI context and harness engineering best practices (summarization/compression, prompting, prompt caching, subagents, memory, context management, tools, async tools, deferred tools, skills, etc.).
Experience wrestling with AI context and harness challenges at scale and having strong opinions about what works.
Ability to 10x workflow by being on the frontier of AI coding.

Nice To Haves

Experience with TypeScript, React, agent frameworks (like AI SDK), and eval platforms (like LangSmith).
