About The Position

The Predictive Index (PI) is seeking an AI Product Manager to join a core PI2 product and engineering team. This role involves co-building the product with engineering, focusing on the intersection of behavioral science, enterprise workflow, and AI. The Product Manager will own the product surface, define what to build, why, and how to measure success. The role also involves shaping the evolution towards AI-delivered experiences, including ambient, agentic, and API-first surfaces, and designing for partners and integrations. PI is looking for a self-starter who thrives in ambiguity, learns quickly, and is passionate about AI. Requirements

  • 5-8 years of product management experience with a track record of shipping products, especially AI products.
  • Experience owning features from discovery through delivery with measurable outcomes.
  • Passion for using AI in all aspects of work and leveraging modern tools to enhance thinking and capacity.
  • Self-directed learning orientation and ability to stay ahead of AI evolution.
  • Demonstrated ability to work through ambiguity, ask good questions, form hypotheses, and move forward.
  • Strong research instincts and experience running customer discovery, including designing and running interviews, synthesizing signals, and translating them into product decisions.
  • Collaborative team player who can operate independently but work closely with engineers, designers, and scientists.
  • Ability to write with clarity, producing crisp and decisive PRDs, decision memos, and Slack updates that make tradeoffs visible.
  • Experience working directly with engineers in fast-moving delivery cycles.
  • A builder's mindset with ownership, clarity, and willingness to cover surface area beyond the title.

Nice To Haves

  • An engineering background or technical foundation.
  • Experience with AI concepts (LLMs, agents, APIs, MCP).
  • A Continuous Discovery practice (Teresa Torres-style).
  • B2B enterprise SaaS background, especially in HR tech, talent, workforce, and behavioral assessments platforms.
  • Prompt engineering fluency.

Responsibilities

  • Own the product strategy and roadmap for PI’s AI surface, Obi, and its AI-powered workflows, with accountability for response quality, user trust, and measurable outcomes.
  • Define and maintain the evaluation framework for Obi and its workflows, including rubrics, test cases, quality signals, and instrumentation.
  • Pair directly with engineers in tight delivery cycles, providing clarity and detailed specifications on AI evaluations, prompt architecture, and system-prompt design.
  • Operate with high autonomy on day-to-day decisions, staying connected to business objectives.
  • Run continuous discovery to understand customer needs through interviews, opportunity mapping, and synthesis of product and behavioral signals.
  • Design AI-powered features and workflows with a clear point of view on AI's role and the intellectual curiosity to adapt to evolving technology.
  • Pair with a data scientist to build instrumentation and outcome tracking for adoption signals, time-to-value metrics, and experimentation results.
  • Translate ambiguous strategic questions into clear, executable decisions for the team.
  • Document product decisions and specifications, including PRDs, eval specs, JIRA artifacts, and decision memos.
