About The Position

Maarif School is seeking a knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and innovative AI & Computer Science Teacher to join its academic team. The teacher will teach middle and high school students, making computer science, artificial intelligence, and technology concepts engaging and accessible. The role includes developing age-appropriate lessons aligned with curriculum standards, offering hands-on learning, assessing student progress, promoting responsible and ethical technology use, and maintaining a positive classroom environment. The teacher will collaborate with school administration and faculty to support academic goals.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Education, or a related field.
• Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, Java, or JavaScript.
• Familiarity with AI tools, machine learning concepts, and educational technology.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to students with different learning abilities.
• Passion for education, innovation, and student development.

Nice To Haves

• Teaching experience in middle or high school.
• New Jersey teaching certification.
• Experience teaching coding, robotics, or STEM-related subjects.
• Familiarity with AI platforms and tools such as ChatGPT and other educational AI applications.
• Experience developing project-based and interactive learning activities.
• Ability to integrate technology into classroom instruction.

Responsibilities

• Teach Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence courses to middle and high school students.
• Develop and implement engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards.
• Introduce students to programming, coding, artificial intelligence, and emerging technologies.
• Teach fundamental computer science concepts, including algorithms, computational thinking, and problem-solving.
• Provide hands-on learning through coding projects, AI applications, and technology-based activities.
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Promote responsible and ethical use of AI and digital technologies.
• Maintain a positive, structured, and engaging classroom environment.
• Collaborate with school administration and faculty to support academic goals.
